I thought this was A, but then when I read the question properly, it said unshaded so, I got to know it was D
Class : Class 9
Study the given question carefully they have asked the number of unshaded triangles in the given figure not the shaded triangles in the given figure
Class : Class 7
I also did the same mistake . I did A . But it should be D because it has asked for the unshaded ones and not the shaded ones . Did everyone understand ????????????!!!!!!!!!!!
Class : Class 7

yeah..... The answer is 112 and it has given the solution in the context of X only. I guessed the answer and it was right. However, I would be very grateful if you could explain in an easier and quicker method. I understood the solution but you could always provide me with a quicker method because of this question cam it would require a lot of time.

see there are 4 sides each divided into 4 parts
therefore total no. of divisions:- 4*4 = 16
considering each side as a and length for one side as l we have l^2 = a^2 + (a/16)^2
now you can find the length for all 4 sides.
