first of all you should know the meaning of thereof it is "if it is a part of something it should be taken as a whole" to find the cost pratik have to pay for 3 and 1/2 hours is first hour = 1.50 additional hour =1.00 1/2 hour is taken as a whole means one hour so, additional hour = 3 * 1.00 = 3.00 to find the money he had to pay = 3.00+1.50 =4.50 so the answer is B
