option C is the answer as when you fold each of the other figures (opt. a, b, d), you will get the same cuboid as asked in the question. But in the third option, when you fold the figure along the lines, you will get a cuboid whose one face is missing..... So, this is the explanation :)

We first need to multiply, then he is telling that he threw 18 of them so, you just need to subtract it from the total number of apples! Then it tells that it is put into 8 boxes so, just divide!
