how to count the number of faces in such an undefined figure

Why dont you all give it a second thought?for example, it is not exactly 'undefined' you have to just count the faces of the figure obtained after removing all the lines on the figure

The answer is a as-first count the visible ones -15 unit cubes we will need some blocks to support the 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th rows as well....15 4(for the second layer) 6(for the third layer) 6(for the fourth layer 4(for the top layer)=35
