a2 - 13a + 30 = a2 + 4a + 4
a - 10 a + 2
=> (a2 - 13a + 30)(a + 2) = (a2 + 4a + 4)(a - 10)
=> a3 + 2a2 - 13a2 - 26a + 30a + 60 = a3 - 10a2 +4a2 + 4a - 40
=> - 11a2 + 4a + 60 = - 6a2+ 4a - 40
=> - 11a2 + 6a2 + 60 + 40 = 0
=> - 5a2 + 100 = 0
=> 5a2 = 100
=> a2 = 20
=> a = √20
Insert the value of'a'and you will get the answer.

The question is wrong.If A is the answer, solving this quadratic eqn, we get a=10 or -2since the answer is a simplified form of the question, these values of a should also hold for question also. But if we put these vales in the question either LHS or RHS denominator will become 0 making it undefined.the actual procedure is to factorize.=> [(a-3)(a-10)]/(a-10)=[(a 2)(a 2)]/(a 2)=> a-3 = a 2=> -3 = 2 which is absurd. so the question is wrong.
Class : Class 8
By factorization process, we get a-3 = a 2, which is in fact a linear equation without a solution. On the other hand, by solving through cross multiplication method (as shown in the solution of this question), we get a²-8a-20 = 0, or (a 2)(a-10) = 0. By solving the quadratic equation, we get a as (-2) or (10), which, upon substituting in the formula given in the question, doesn't satisfy the equation. This is because the equation in the above question isn't even actually correct, as (a-3) is not equal to (a 2), as that would lead to the statement: 5 = 0, which is obviously not true.
Class : Class 9
This question is completely wrong as when we factorise (a^2-13a 30) and (a^2 4a 4), we get (a-3)(a-10) and (a 2)^2 respectively. After calculating more, we get a-3=a 2 which has no solution as -3â 2

Fill in the blanks.
(i) The additive identity of the integers is P.
(ii) The integer which is 8 less than - 24 is Q.
(iii) Every integer less than zero is R.
P | Q | R | |
A | 0 | - 32 | negative |
B | 1 | - 32 | positive |
C | 0 | - 16 | negative |
D | 1 | - 32 | negative |
how is the answer a? its supposed to be c right?

The correct answer is c as -16 is 8 greater than -24. Have you never read integers?.

State ‘T’ for true and ‘F’ for false.
I. If a whole number is divided by another whole number, which is greater than first one, then the quotient is not equal to zero.
II. Sum of two whole numbers is always less than their product.
III. Whole numbers are not closed under multiplication.
I | II | III | |
A | T | T | T |
B | T | F | F |
C | T | T | F |
D | F | T | T |
please give me the proper solution

Option (B) is correctAs it is telling that sum of 2 whole numbers is ALWAYS less than the product but if we see 2 2=4 and 2x2=4 the both the answers are equal
Ans 4:
Class : Class 9
Ya. ONLY B is correct. Bcz 2 x 2 = 4 and 2 2 = 4. Product is equal. And 1 x 1 = 1 and 1 1 = 2. Product is smaller. 2 x 1 = 2 and 2 1 = 3. Product is smaller. As they have given "2 WHOLE numbers" so the same whole number can be used both times. They didn't tell that there is no repetition. So ONLY B IS CORRECT!

1st statement is wrong ,If we say that dividend is 0 and divisor is 5 it will be written as 0÷5=0 as 5×0=0 SO D IS CORRECT
Ans 9:
Class : Class 10
ya its B. I thought it was B but then I got confused because it said 2 numbers. and I thought it meant 2 different numbers. but there is nothing like that. it can be the same number also.
Ans 15:
Class : Class 10
the answer is b only because the second question is, 'the sum of two numbers is ALWAYS smaller than their product.' this statement is definitely false because if we take example of 2 and 2, their product is equal to their sum and if we take 1 and 1, then its product is smaller than its sum. then according to the statement above, answer should be false which should be answer 'B'
Ans 17:
Class : Class 6
The answer is C.Even if the answer is B then how???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Ans 18:
Class : Class 8
The answer is BBecause if we take 1 2=3 but 1x2=2 which is less than the product. Statement ll is false.
