Read the given passage where some of the words have been italicised.
Cotton plant is annual shrub. It grows best in cold climate. Black soil is best suited for the cultivation of cotton plant. The stems of cotton plant are called cotton bolls. The seeds with cotton fibres are picked from the cotton bolls by hand. After picking the fibres are separated from the seeds by a process called combing.
Select the correct option regarding this.

B Cold should not be replaced as it is correctly mentioned.

because our body contains minerals like iron and has a large quantity of un - distilled water

Ans 2:

Class : Class 6
Our body is made of mostly made of impure water which is a good conductor of electricity. Our body also has a lot of metallic minerals like iron which conduct electricity.

Which of the following statements are correct?
(i) Human body is a good conductor of electricity.
(ii) The air gap surrounding an electric circuit acts as a conductor.
(iii) Silver conducts electricity better than any other metal.
(iv) When electricity lights up a bulb, no heat is produced.

A (i) and (ii)
B (iii) and (iv)
C (i) and (iii)
D (ii) and (iii)

Can someone explain how the human body is a good conductor of electricity?

Ans 1:

Class : Class 8
CORRECT ANS IS D

Ans 2:

Class : Class 6
actually our human body consists 70% of water and if we touch electricity they are conducted through our body to either to another person or to any metal or to directly the ground.

Ans 3:

Class : Class 6
Answer (C) is correct because our body is a good conductor of electricity and it has even been mentioned in the synopsis. Now, that means that (i) is correct so automatically B and D get canceled. The air in no form acts as a conductor and is an insulator. So C is also canceled. This leaves us with our final aswer A.

Ans 4:

Class : Class 6
because our body contains minerals like iron and has a large quantity of un - distilled water

Label the dry cell in the correct order.

A (i) Carbon and Manganese dioxide mixture, (ii) Carbon rod, (iii) Ammonium chloride
B (i) Carbon rod, (ii) Ammonium chloride, (iii) Zinc container
C (i) Ammonium chloride, (ii) Zinc container, (iii) Carbon rod
D (i) Zinc container, (ii) Carbon rod, (iii) Carbon and Manganese dioxide mixture

The correct answer is C as the part labeled (i) is ammonium chloride, (ii) is zinc container and (iii) is carbon rod.

Ans 4:

Class : Class 7
ALL THE OPTIONS ARE WRONG , EVEN OPTION (C)

Ans 5:

Class : Class 6
Actually, none of the answer is correct. IN option D they changed the order

Ans 6:

Class : Class 7
c is the only correct ans because in a zinc carbon dry cell zinc container is the negative terminal of the cell and carbon is the positive terminal of the cell and we need a electrolyte to convert chemical energy into electrical energy i.e. ammonium chloride.

Ans 7:

Class : Class 6

Ans 13:

Class : Class 6
yes

Ans 14:

Class : Class 6
I was dumb enough to not read the order that is why I got it wrong.

Ans 15:

Class : Class 4
All answers are wrong - even 'D' and 'C'. 'C' would, however, be right if the line for '(ii)' was a little shorter.
