In my opinion, neither of the options fulfils the blanks correctly. According to the solution, the smallest cell in the human body (assuming the pronoun 'our' refers to the human race) is RBC (erythrocyte), but it is, in fact, the second smallest cell. The smallest cell in the human body is the sperm cell. Thus, option (A) and option (C) are incorrect. PPLO (Pleuro-pneumonia-like-organism) are the smallest cells, but they are not human cells. RBC are the second smallest cells in the human body, not the smallest cell. Option (B) and option (D) are incorrect too. The cell membrane is neither completely permeable, nor impermeable. The cell membrane is selectively permeable, which means it allows only certain molecules to enter and exit the cell. Thus, none of the options are correct.
