It controls balance, movement, and coordination. Y is cerebrum, the large, outer part of the brain, controls reading, thinking, learning, speech, emotions and planned muscle movements like walking. It also controls vision, hearing and other senses. Z is medulla oblongata is part of the brain stem that controls most of these involuntary actions (blood pressure, breathing, heartbeat, etc).
