The given image shows a potted plant lying on the side, leaves are growing upwards and roots are growing downwards. Let’s check the options to see which of them is shown by the given image.A. Phototropism – Phototropism is the orientation of a plant in response to light, either towards the source of light or away from it. There is no light source shown in the given image. So, it is not showing Phototropism.B. Geotropism – Geotropism is the growth of the parts of plants in response to the force of gravity. The plant shoot grows upwards with branches and leaves in the direction away from the force of gravity. The roots grow downwards towards the force of gravity. So, the plant is given an image is showing Geotropism.C. Adaptation - Adaptation is the process by which an animal or plant species becomes physically fit to its environment. The characteristics that help a species survive in an environment are passed on to future generations. For example, deserts are dry and hot places lack water. So, plants called ‘succulents’ grow in deserts and have adapted to the climate by storing water in their thick stems and fleshy leaves. So, the plant is given image is not showing Adaptation.D. Acclimatization - Acclimatization is the process by which an individual or an organism adjusts to a change in its environment, such as a change in altitude, temperature, humidity, etc. Acclimation is a temporary adaptation to gradual changes in the natural habitat. It only occurs in the lifespan of the organism and doesn’t affect future generations. For example, when we go to live at some extremely cold hill station, we shiver on the first few days, but after that, we become used to the cold, and we don’t shiver. This is Acclimatization. So, the plant is given image is not showing Acclimatization.Hence, the right answer is Option B.

Read the given paragraph where few words have been italicised. Buccal cavity of humans contains two pairs of salivary glands which secrete digestive juices that help in digestion of proteins present in food. From here food enters stomach where digestion of mainly fats takes place. As this semi-digested food enters small intestine complete digestion of food occurs. Small intestine receives bile juice from pancreas which digests fats. Most absorption of water occurs in large intestine.
Select the correct option regarding this.

ATwo should be replaced by four whereas proteins should not be replaced as it is correctly mentioned.
BFats should be replaced by carbohydrates and pancreas should be replaced by liver.
CDigests should be replaced by emulsifies.
DLarge should be replaced by small.

There are no words italicised in this paragraph...

It is not italicized in my laptop either. I think the main aim of them is to say there are few words used incorrectly and that we have to correct them.
