Aparna heated a bi-metallic strip made of two different types of metals for some time.

After heating it, she observed that the metallic strip curved as shown in the figure.
Which of the following would best explain the conclusion derived by Aparna about the experiment she had done?

AMetal X is a better conductor of heat than metal Y.
BMetal X is a poorer conductor of heat than metal Y.

Oscillations are set in a simple pendulum whose length is 2 m and mass of the bob is 2 kg. Its time period

A Is always constant
B Increases slowly
C Decreases slowly
D First increases then decreases.

th time period of the pendulum is alays constant when th pendulum is working in space and the rope or the thing which holds the pendulum from a rigid point does nt exert any friction on it. But in this question it is not mentioned whether it is in a vacuum with no rigid point or in noral conditions. if it is in normal conditions with atmosphere, thenthe time period will gradually decrease and at some point it will come to a stop , whether it be a any combination of length and weight. So , according to these reasons , i think both a and b are possible as a correct option . So the answer , which is only saying that the pendulum is always constANT is false
