I think that SOF must give a proper solution to this answer. Average speed=Total Distance/Total Time. Here, total distance = 50 km and the total time= 35 mins. Therefore, average speed= 50/35=10/7=1.42....km/min. I request SOF to kindly tell the solution.

Ans 12:

Class : Class 7
A

The answer is C because : total time = 14min; Total distance = 50km, 14 min in hours is equal to 14/60 = 0.23hrs if you divide, then speed is equal to 50km/0.23hrs = 50x100/23 = 5000/23 = 214.28km/hr. You're welcome.

Soham, a class 6 student, took four solid objects W, X, Y, and Z of different weights and made from the same plastic material of density 0.85 g/cm3 and placed them in beakers containing equal amount of water having density 1.0 g/cm3 as shown in the figure :

What would be his observation?

AObjects X and Z will sink while W and Y will float.
BObjects W and Y will sink while X and Z will float.
CAll four objects will sink.

Read the given passage.

The land near the equator is colder than the land away from it. Near the equator, Sun’s rays fall vertically. As the latitude increases, the rays become more and more slanting. Vertical rays spread over a larger land area than slanting rays. Also, they pass through a thicker layer of the atmosphere which absorbs a large part of their heat. Hence, the land near the equator gets heated up lesser by the Sun than the land away from it, in a given time.
Some of the words have been italicised in the given passage. Select the incorrect statement regarding these.

A The words colder and lesser need not to be replaced as they are correctly mentioned.
B Larger should be replaced by smaller.
C Thicker should be replaced by thinner.
D None of these
