the answer is 'b' .The plant cell does not burst in hypotonic solution because the plant cell wall exerts an equal pressure as exerted by the liquid in the cell.So this prevents it from bursting but after sometimes, the plant cell will burst.

The answer is B because initial temp is 0 the its heated to temp more than melting point so after melting it'll have latent heat of fusion ,therefore temp will be constant finally it will spike to a high temp shown by graph b

In the given figure, showing the ultrastructure of a plant cell, identify the parts marked as P and Q and select the correct option regarding these.

(i) Part P helps in osmoregulation.
(ii) Cellular respiration occurs in part Q.
(iii) Synthesis of sugars occurs in part Q.
(iv) Part P provides colour to flowers and fruits.

A (i) and (ii) only
B (i) and (iii) only
C (iii) and (iv) only
D (ii) and (iv) only

The figure is not clear for the students to identify the organelle

Sarika read that woodlice are usually found under piles of damp rotting leaves. She suggested four possible explanations for this behaviour.
1. Woodlice need rotting leaves.
2. Woodlice find their food there.
3. Woodlice need dark conditions.
4. Woodlice need a damp environment.

The above diagram shows the experiment which Sarika had conducted. Which above explanation regarding the behaviour of the woodlice was tested by Sarika?

A 1
B 2
C 3
D 4

Why is the answer D? This is because it says that woodlice are found typically under damp rotting leaves. For the test, Sanika kept rotting leaves on dry and damp soil. If you read the question carefully, you will find that Sanika had stated that woodlice needed a damp environment as a possible explanation as to why woodlice were found under damp rotting leaves. She even placed the woodlice pointing to the rotting leaves with damp soil under it. Based on this, she was most probably testing the 4th explanation she stated and so that, my friends, is why option D is the correct answer.
