Reversible changes are those changes which can be reversed back again and they can be called as temporary. Irreversible changes are those changes which can't be turned back or they're permanent changes.After burning a candle, it is not possible to restore the original candle in order to burn it again. So, (1) is an irreversible change. Extinguished candle (2) is a reversible change, because an extinguished candle can be lighted again.Melting wax (3) is also a reversible change, because the melted wax will turn to solid when it cools. It can be heated again and it will melt. And if we let it cool again, it will become solid.Options (2) and (3) are reversible changes. Hence, the right answer is Option D.
