In physics, when a light rays starting from a point diverge themselves or spread themselves, such a ray is called divergent ray. On the other hand when light from a large source converge or focuses itself,such a ray is called convergent ray. In lenses convex lenses converge rays and concave lenses diverge it. Good question....

Scientifically and theoretically speaking, you can go back in time if you can go faster than the speed of light. If you do so, the time dilation will technically allow you to reach your destination before you have even left, thus making you travel back in time. But it is impossible according to Einstein's Special Theory.. You could also travel through wormholes which are something like theoretical warps in the fabric of space time.. I don't know much about them though... It all comes down to relativity.
