Read the following stories and answer the questions that follow :
A donkey and a rooster lived peaceably together in the farmyard. One day, a hungry lion passed by. His eyes brightened at the sight of the plump donkey, and he thought of the fine meal in store for him. But just as the lion was about to pounce on the donkey, the rooster began to crow. Now, it is said there is nothing a lion hates more than the sound of a cock-a-doodle-doo. Perhaps it is true, for the lion turned and fled at the sound of the rooster’s crowing.
The donkey laughed. “Why, the lion is a coward! The mighty king of beasts runs from a rooster.” And the donkey felt so bold that he began to chase the lion. He had not gone very far, however, when the lion turned. With a great roar, he leapt upon the donkey.
The rooster, watching from the farmyard, said sadly, “Alas! My poor friend did not realise what he could or could not do.”
“False confidence often leads to misfortune.”
Why did the donkey chase the lion?

A He wanted to kill the lion.
B He was confident to kill the lion.
C He had false confidence to kill the lion.
D None of these

There is nothing said here about killing the lion, so shouldn't D be correct?

Read the poem carefully and answer the questions that follow :
Rise, brothers, rise; the wakening skies pray to the morning light, The wind lies asleep in the arms of the dawn like a child that has cried all night. Come, let us gather our nets from the shore, and set our catamarans free, To capture the leaping wealth of the tide, for we are the kings of the sea!
No longer delay, let us hasten away in the track of the seagull’s call, The sea is our mother, the cloud is our brother, the waves are our comrades all. What though we toss at the fall of the sun where the hand of the sea-god drives? He who holds the storm by the hair, will hide in his breast our lives.
Sweet is the shade of the coconut glade, and the scent of the mango grove, And sweet are the sands at the full o’ the moon with the sound of the voices we love; But sweeter, O brothers, the kiss of the spray, and the dance of the wild foam’s glee; Row, brothers row to the edge of the verge, where the low sky mates with the sea.
–Sarojini Naidu
The last line of the above poem means _______.

A where the sky touches the sea
B where the sky moves away from the sea
C where the sea embraces the sky
D where the sea ends

dont option "A" and "C" mean the same or is it just my misconception

Don't A and C mean the same thing?

Ans 3:

Class : Class 7
why? simply why?

Ans 4:

Technically they mean the same but the answer will be 'A'. It is written 'where the low sky mates with the sea.' That would mean that the sky touches the sea. Not the sea touches the sky (like in 'C')

The answer will be among because it is impossible to go inside the children and distribute the sweets. Also, distributing between the children would mean distributing sweets while the person is standing between the students. The answer cannot be on because that would mean that a person would be distributing sweets while standing on the children. Thus, the only logical answer left is among, which would mean that the sweets are being distributed only to the children.

The passage and answer the questions that follow.
RAINBOWS
Rainbows are often seen when the sun comes out after or during a rainstorm. Rainbows are caused when sunlight shines through drops of water in the sky at a particular angle. When white sunlight enters a raindrop, it exits the raindrop a different colour. When light exits lots of different raindrops at different angles, it produces the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet that you see in a rainbow. Together, these colours are known as the spectrum. These colours can sometimes be seen in waterfalls and fountains as well. Did you know that there are double rainbows also? In a double rainbow, light reflects twice inside water droplets and forms two arcs. In most double rainbows, the colours of the top arc are opposite from those in the bottom arc. In other words, the order of colours starts with purple on top and ends with the red on bottom. Rainbows sometimes appear as white arcs at night. These rainbows are called moonbows. Moonbows are caused by moonlight shining through drops of water.

What is the colour of a moonbow?

AYellow
BWhite
CGrey
DBlack

I didn't know there was such thing as a moonbow!
