READ THE PASSAGE AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS THAT FOLLOW.
Long ago, people happily lived under the rule of a king. The people of the kingdom were very happy as they had a very prosperous life with a lot of wealth and no misfortunes. The king decided to visit historical places and pilgrimages at distant places. He decided to travel by foot to interact with his people and accompany them. People of distant places were glad to have a conversation with their king and they were proud that their king was so kind with a good heart! After several weeks, he returned to the palace. He was quite happy that he visited many pilgrimages and could see his fellow people leading a happy life. But he had a regret. He had an intolerable pain in his feet as it was his first trip by foot for a long distance. He complained to his ministers that the roads weren’t comfortable and were very rocky. He said he was very much worried about the people who used to walk along those roads as it would be painful for them too! The King ordered his men to cover the road of the whole country with leather so that people might feel comfortable. The king thought that he had to do this for the betterment and happiness of the people. His ministers were stunned to hear his order as it would destroy the life of thousands of animals to get the sufficient quantity of leather and it would cost a lot of money also. A wise man from the ministry came to the king and said that he had another idea. The king asked - what was his alternative idea? The minister said, ‘Why do you want to kill the animals to cover the road with leather? Rather, you can just have a piece of leather cut in appropriate shape to cover your feet. The king was very much surprised by his suggestion and praised the wise minister. He ordered for a pair of leather shoes for him and requested the countrymen to wear shoes.

Where did the king plan to visit?

ATo far away places.
BTo other countries.
CTo historical places and pilgrimages.
DAll of these

Read the passage and answer the questions that follow.
FLYING FISH

Flying fish can be seen jumping out of warm ocean waters worldwide. Their streamlined torpedo shape helps them gather enough underwater speed to break the surface, and their large, wing-like pectoral fins get them airborne.
Flying fish are thought to have evolved this remarkable gliding ability to escape predators, of which they have many. Their hunters include mackerel, tuna, sword fish, marlin, and other larger fish. For their nutrition, flying fish feed on a variety of food, including plankton, bacteria and other tiny marine creatures. The average lifespan of flying fish is around five years in the wild. In size they can grow up to 18 inches.
There are about 40 known species of flying fish. Beyond their useful pectoral fins, all have unevenly forked tails, with the lower lobe longer than the upper lobe. Many species have enlarged pelvic fins as well and are known as four-winged flying fish.
The process of taking flight, or gliding, begins by gaining great velocity underwater, about 37 miles (60 kilometers) per hour. Angling upward, the four-winged flying fish breaks the surface and begins to taxi by rapidly beating its tail while it is still beneath the surface. It then takes to the air, sometimes reaching heights of over 4 feet (1.2 metres) and gliding long distances, up to 655 feet (200 metres). Once it nears the surface again, it can flap its tail and taxi without fully returning to the water. Capable of continuing its flight in such a manner, flying fish have been recorded stretching out their flights with consecutive glides spanning distances up to 1,312 feet (400 metres). Flying fish can soar high enough that sailors often find them on the decks of their ships.
Flying fish swim in large schools (groups) and are attracted to light, like a number of sea creatures, and fishermen take advantage of this with ample results. Canoes, filled with enough water to sustain fish, but not enough to allow them to propel themselves out, are affixed with a luring light at night to capture flying fish by the dozens. There is currently no protection status on these animals.
Fishermen attract flying fish with _______.

Alight
Bearthworms
Ccanoes
Dsmall fish

What helps flying fish fly?

AWarm water
BUnderwater speed
CTorpedo
DPectoral fins

according to this I think so answer is c)Torpedo

Hello Divisha! You study in VI-I . The answer should be (B) because (C) mentions "torpedo" but not "torpedo shape". The "torpedo shape" allows the fish to gather enough "underwater speed" to break the water's surface and fly. Thus the ans should be (B) according to me. I am in DPS Noida too.
