It is only A because, B would be senseless if it was used in the sentence........If it was B, the sentence would be constructed in this way: There IS a large amount of fish in the river. NOT There ARE a large amount of fish in the river. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I conclude stating that the second sentence does not make sense according to English. Whereas the first sentence, on the other hand, does. Therefor, the answer is A, not B nor C. Thank you.

The correct answer should be option A as the word "it's" shows possession. As the frog possess it's leg the correct answer should be option A.
