Read the passage and answer the questions that follow.

Nobody knew kangaroos existed until about 200 years ago. Australian explorers and settlers saw them then for the first time. The kangaroo, of course, has a pouch, and in Australia, many mammals have pouches. Australia and its neighbouring islands are where most of the pouched animals are found. Pouched mammals are called ‘the marsupials’. The name comes from the Latin word ‘marsupium’, which means pouch.
The first mammals appeared more than 100,000,000 years ago during the Age of Dinosaurs. Some of these were marsupials, and some were placentals. A placental mammal supplies food to the unborn young within the mother’s body. In marsupial mammals, the pouch serves this purpose. The young ones are born very tiny and develop in the mother’s pouch. When the earth’s climate changed, the dinosaurs died out. The mammals multiplied and developed in many ways.
They became the ruling animals of the earth. The placental mammals were more successful than the marsupials. Their brains were superior, and it was better for the young to develop inside the mother’s body than in the pouch. In most parts of the world, marsupials have disappeared. They could not compete for living places with other mammals. However, this did not happen in Australia and South America. Scientists believe that Australia was once linked to South-Eastern Asia. So all marsupials moved to Australia at a time when there were no advanced placental mammals there.
They did not have any competition, so they evolved and flourished in many forms.

Whose brain was superior?

A Marsupials
B Dinosaurs
C Placental mammals

Wind
Wind, come softly.
Don't break the shutters of the windows.
Don't scatter the papers.
Don't throw down the books on the shelf,
There, look what you did - you threw them all down.
You tore the pages of the books.
You brought rain again,
You're very clever at poking fun at weaklings.
Frail crumbling houses, crumbling doors, crumbling rafters, crumbling wood, crumbling bodies, crumbling lives, crumbling hearts the wind god winnows and crushes them all
He won't do what you tell him.
So, come, let's build strong homes,
Let's join the doors firmly.
Practice to firm the body.
Make the heart steadfast.
Do this, and the wind will be friends with us.
The wind blows out weak fires.
He makes strong fires roar and flourish.
His friendship is good.
We praise him every day. wind, come softly.
-Subramania Bharati

There are a lot of hill stations in India but whenever one thinks of the most beautiful among them, one thinks of Kashmir. Kashmir is a beautiful valley having mountains on all the sides. It has visitors from within the country and abroad all year round. It has Jhelum river flowing into it, making it even more charming. It used to be the summer residence of the Mughals and was called - 'Garden of Eternal Spring'. One can see roses and saffron grown for miles and miles. A special perfume called 'Ittar' is made from them. The goats of Kashmir give hair for the costly Pashmina shawls famous all over. Forests are all over the valley and the fruit trees are laden with delicious and juicy apples, peaches, strawberries, cherries, almonds and walnuts. The fruit gardens are an additional attraction for the tourists, who come every year during summer. The ancient architecture of Mughals is visible in the world famous mosque of 'Hazrat-e-Shahi'.
