In my opinion, the answer should be option (C) instead of option (A). The statement above is a question, however, no wh- question words (including how) is used. Thus, it is a yes, or no question. Additionally, factoring in the meaning of the statement, it can be understood that this question is meant to reconfirm a fact. Obviously, to reconfirm the fact, one needs to discuss the fact. The article used in case where the object is known to the speaker is the determinate article, or 'the'. Thus, instead of 'a', the answer should be 'the', or option (C).

Yes. What you say is correct but the word 'unique" is pronounced as 'yoo-neek'. So the pronunciation does not have the sound of the vowel 'u'. I have elaborated it below: AN Umbrella A University In the case above, the word 'umbrella' is pronounced with the sound of the vowel 'U'. While the pronunciation of the word 'university' is done in a distinct manner as mentioned before. I hope I have been helpful in clearing your doubts.

All the animals of the forest gathered to elect their new king.
They chose the monkey because they were amused by his antics. The fox was very disappointed at not being chosen and waited for a chance to get it. One day, he found a piece of meat on a path. He realised at once it was the bait for a trap. But off he went to the monkey and offered to show him where it was, as a sign of his loyalty. The monkey king at once fell into the trap and the fox burst out laughing.

I think that "we could land" would be a better response, since it would sound better. If we say, "If they were able to land a man on the moon, why can we not fix this stapler.",the meaning of 'they' would be unclear and the listener would feel doubtful about who 'they' refers to. On the other hand, if we say, "If we could land a man on the moon, why can we not fix this stapler.", it will sound much better and the listener will be clear about the message of the speaker. Hence, Option A is the correct answer. I would like SOF to rectify this error immediately.
