About ISSO (International Social Studies Olympiad)

The ISSO (International Social Studies Olympiad) introduced and conducted by SOF is a single-level exam. Introduced for the first time in 2021, it will be held for students of classes 3-10. Social studies or Social sciences is a field that deals with social human behaviour, the environment, the history and the political sciences.

The ISSO test will be organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.

The ISSO competition is a test of 60 minutes duration. It will comprise of 35 MCQs (Multiple Choice questions) for classes 3 to 4 and 50 MCQs (Multiple Choice questions) for classes 5 to 10.

How to Prepare for the ISSO Exam

To excel in the ISSO, students should:

  • Understand the Syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the ISSO syllabus, which is aligned with the school curriculum but goes deeper into Computer concepts.
  • Practice Regularly: Solve previous years' ISSO question papers and take mock tests to build confidence and improve speed.
  • Use ISSO Study Material: Utilize ISSO preparation online resources and books that cover important topics and provide practice questions.
