PATTERNS - ESSENTIAL POINTS

A pattern is a fixed set of sequence that is followed.  You may have seen the printed bed sheets which follows a set design. That is pattern

    1. For instance look at the following series, and observe the pattern followed –

AB, CD, EF, GH, IJ, KL.

In this pattern the alphabets are written in the pair of two each.
    2. Now observe this pattern –

Here two triangles are followed by two circles, then again two triangles and then two circles.

    3. The pattern may be also of increasing like this –

One arrow is increasing each time. So in the next term there would be six arrows.
    4. The pattern can also be decreasing like this –

One arrow is decreasing each time.

    5. In this number pattern,6 is added each time –

      24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54.

      The next number would be 54 + 6 = 60.

    6. The pattern can also be decreasing numbers like 120, 110, 99, 87, 74, 60.
Here the first number is decreased by 10, the next number by 11, then 12, then 13 and then 14. So the next number in the series would be 60 – 15 = 45.
    7. The pattern may be like this also -

Here the next pattern would be five triangles and five diamonds.
