Living Things can be divided into two groups-Animals and Plants . .
.Animals are dependent on Plants for livelihood . Examples- Human Being,
Animals.
Plants are living things that are mostly non-dependent on any other living object.But,Venus Flytrap ,Indian Pitcher etc.are dependent upon insects for livelihood for food.They speak no sound nor move from place to place.
As you asked there are two main types of plants.
A) Flowering Plants-
These have flowers and Thus,Have a seed.For Instance,Mango.
B)Non-Flowering Plants-
These don't have flowers and Thus, doesn't have a seed.For instance,Aloe Vera.
The types of plants dependent upon growing style are-
A)Trees-These have hard stems.They can live for a several hundred of years.
For instance,Mango.
B)Shrubs-These have hard,woody stems but not thick .For instance,Rose.
C)Herbs- These have soft,thin stems.For instance,Mint.These have medicinal properties.
D) Climbers-These grow along other plants and Thus,Need support to climb.For instance- Grapevine.
E)Creepers- These grow along ground.For instance-Pumpkin.
Now, There is a variety of non-usual plants.
A)Non-Green Plants- Toadstool and Mushroom don't have leaves and Thus,are dependent upon dead materials .
B) Insectivorous Plants- Some plants trap insects for livelihood .For Instance- Venus Flytrap.
