B AS we convert mixed to improper fraction so 4 1/2 = 2 x 4 1 /2 = 9/2 2 1/8 = 8 x 2 1 / 8 = 17/8 Then we find equivalent fractions 9/2 = 9 x 4 / 2 x 4 = 36 / 8 and 17 / 8 will remain same as we know.
