What does it take to score and win medal in level 2

Many parents don’t realise what a big achievement it is when a child qualifies for Level 2. Your child is now among the top 5% of millions who appear for these Olympiads.

Often parents say, I’m surprised my child cleared Level 1, they didn’t even prepare that much.”
If you’ve felt this way, remember — it wasn’t “easy.” It looked easy because your child has strong concepts, natural interest, and a genuine aptitude for the subject.

This is an early and powerful sign of your child’s talent. Celebrate it. Encourage it.

Level 2 Olympiads (IEO, NSO, IMO) are definitely more challenging and demand focused preparation. The syllabus stays the same, but the question pattern and difficulty level rise sharply.

How to Prepare for Level 2

  • Start early. Don’t wait for the results to begin. Start preparing right after Level 1. Gaining more knowledge never goes to waste — it will help your child now, next year, and in the long run.
  • Understand the shift. Questions are NOT out of syllabus, but they are more complex, deeper, and designed to test HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills).
  • Practice is everything. Solve as many Level 2 previous years’ papers as possible. You’ll soon see them becoming easier as your child’s problem-solving ability grows.
  • Join online classes. They’re a great way to practice systematically, clear doubts, and learn smarter methods and approaches.
  • No Logical Reasoning in Level 2. Only subject knowledge is tested — so focus completely on the core subject.
  • Take Level 2 mock tests. They build time-management skills and prepare students for the exact difficulty level of the final exam.

Start levelling up now — practice never fails; it only builds skill, confidence, and clarity.
