Sunita needs a waterproof container to carry water, so X cannot be a cardboard. Pihu needs a sheet to absorb oil,  so Y cannot be plastic as it cannot absorb oil. Rahul needs a box made up of a material that is a bad conductor of heat, so it cannot be steel.
Y can be cotton as it will absorb the oil.
