A science teacher labelled three glass slides as P, Q and R. She painted slide Q with light blue colour, slide R with black colour and slide P was left as such.
Then she asked students to put the slide on a white paper having (X) mark on it.
Students will be able to see the mark clearly (or partially)
A In slide P as it is translucent
B In slide Q as it is translucent
C In slide R as it is opaque
D In all the slides as paint does not change the nature of glass.
It's written'Students will be able to see the mark clearly (or partially)'. What should I do the question is not even making up it's mind!

Bcoz when glass Q is painted with light blue we are still able to see the mark , that means its still translucent. When glass R is painted with black, we are not able to see as black is an opaque color. This what the logic meant for. So, option B is correct

Option A can also be a correct answer because the transparency of the glass is not mentioned. It can be translucent or transparent as well.

Even C is correct. In the workbook solution itâs given that slideR is supposed to be opaque

All of them were made of glass. So if P was left as it is without painting wouldn't it be transparent??

Falguni and Tanmay , the C option is correct as R is opaque but the question is through which slide can we see the X mark clearly or partially and we can't see through because as you said R is opaque . Answer D is not correct either because colour affects the transparency of the slide. Answer A is not correct because P is transparent not translucent. That leaves us with Option B which is correct as Q is translucent and the students can see the X partially through it . Hope this explanation helps you clear all your doubts about this question.ðððOh and by the way completely not related to the question who else is an army ( BTS fans ) ?
