378 Indian stamps and 588 foreign stamps were pasted in an album in such a way that each page had either Indian or foreign stamps on it. What is the maximum number of stamps that were pasted on each page if the number of stamps were the same on each page?

(A) 1874

(B) 6048

(C) 21

(D) 42
how do you do this sum?

Ans 1:

D because we should LCM as either Indian or Foreign stamps should be placed and max is LCM.

Find the HCF / GCD of 378 and 588, you will get the answer.
