Mrs Swati bought 4 kg of flour and she used 5/8 of it for baking. How many kilograms of flour did she have left?
A 3/8 kg
I think option D is right answer. If its wrong please explain it .
ANSWER MUST BE OPTION D , AS WHEN WE SUBTRACT 5/8 FROM 4 THEN WE WILL GET 27/8 WHICH IS EQUAL TO 3 3/8. THE METHOD IS BY DOING CRISS-CROSS MULTIPLICATION.
I think it should be option C as , the question is asking how much is left with her when she has baked. She used 5/8 of the flour to bake and 5/8 of 4kg is 2 ½ kg . 4kg take away 2½ kg equals 1½ kg. So it should be option C.
b is the right answer.FIRST CUT THE DENOMINATOR.THEN CONVERT IT INTO A MIXED FRACTION.YOU WILL GET THE ANSWER
