Bulb Y will still continue to glow if both the switches are open because bulb Y is directly connected to the battery and both of its terminals are connected to the battery. The answer to the given question is option b.

But it will still remain as an open circuit... there may not be continuous flow of electricity 🤷‍♀️

BUT HOW WILL IT GLOW IF S1 IS NOT CONNECTED??

The answer is (B) because there are no switches in the ire that are being connected to bulb Y. Hence, bulb Y can glow but bulb X can't because S1 is not closed.
