Subject :IMO    Class : Class 9

The supplementary angle of an angle is one third of itself. Then the angle of its supplement are ______.

(A) 135°, 45°

(B) 60°, 180°

(C) 120°, 360°

(D) 60°, 120°

Class : Class 9
class :9 option (A) is the correct answer. Because simply only the first pair forms 180 (degrees)and obviously 45= 1/3 * 135....

Ans 2:

Class : Class 10
the answer is option A> 135,45. see, the question stands 180-x = x * 1/3 => thus solving the equation we get, 1/3*x = 180-x x *4/3 = 180 x = 135. thus the other angle is 180-135=45
