If we drop a ball from a great height above the earth surface it falls with a great speed but when rain drop falls it falls with a small speed.Why this happens can you tell?

Sorry to say but your ans. is wrong Yash as because the surface of ball is greater than that of ball it will feel more resistance than drop and has lower speed but thats that's not true....it is because of inertia as the body which has greater mass can resist more force and because in this case ball has more mass it can resist air friction easily but due to light weight of drop it can't

This is because due to small mass the rain drop feels the air resistance but ball don't.
