Two carpenters decided to design desks for students at the Junior High School. The dimensions of the desk are as shown. How much wood (in cm2) would they need for 30 desks?

area of trapezium =1/2*(sum of parallel sides)*height;=1/2(70 110)*30=2700; amt of wood reqd.=2700*30=81000
