Read the given passages and answer the question that follow:
Plot, character development, and writing style are some of the entities that are essential to stories. In certain cases, these entities are easy to come by. But sometimes, they are not. And when it doesn’t come, one is stuck with something infamous called ‘writer’s block’. It is a major case where a person finds himself stuck and unable to progress with their story. How to plan the foreshadow? How to plan the pace? How to map a character or a plan without dumping too much information all over the story?
Creating a compelling story is an art in itself, weaving imagination, creativity, ideas, skills, etc., together. A good story has the ability to transport a person into various scenarios, new worlds, and parallel universes, invoking powerful emotions that continue to linger even after the final page. Writing a captivating tale begins with a clear purpose of what message, theme or experience that one wants to convey to one’s readers.
Developing characters that are relatable and have their own inner lives, nuanced motivations, and distinct voices and opinions is not an easy matter. Plotting a narrative arc also involves a specific fluid flow—a harmonic calm, building tension, and exacting a satisfying resolution. The perfect setting and atmosphere will also be able to transport the reader to a different time zone or period.
Reading these stories can also create a habit of reading, or it may inadvertently inspire a person to write as well, birthing an aspiring author. A good story encourages one to turn the next page and read more. What happened next? Did the character die? What about the happy ending? Multitudes of questions pop up, making us feel excited, sad, anxious, angry, etc. The experience of reading or listening to a story is much more likely to make a reader ‘feel’ that they too are a part of the story and are intimately involved with the many characters and plots of the story. Perhaps, we recognise ourselves or others in these characters. Perhaps, we have similar problems.
What is the meaning of the word ‘nuanced’?

AHaving or characterized by subtle and often appealing complex qualities, aspects, or distinctions
BThe art or technique of filming something so as to convey candid realism
CBitter criticism or malice
DUnchanged over time or unable to be changed
