The rain containing excess of acids is called an acid rain. Acid rain can cause damage to buildings, historical monuments, plants and animals. Where do these acids come from?

AAcids like carbonic acid, sulphuric acid and nitric acid are already present in the rain.
BRain drops become acidic by combining with acids present in air.
CAcids present in rain drops become active on coming in contact with atmosphere.
DAir pollutants like CO2, SO2, NO2 dissolve in rain drops to form acids.
