Option A is the correct answer because here, we are not talking about more than one director. We are talking about only one director. As the verb must agree with the subject, so the verb will be singular (has been) and not plural (are). Therefore, Option A is the right answer as it makes sense and Option B is the incorrect answer as it renders the sentence asinine. I request SOF to kindly rectify this error immediately.
