The given answer is (a), if the circuit is closed in (a), since the wire has practically zero resistance the electricity will avoid the bulb. what do you think ?

I don't think A will be a short circuit, as the current is flowing through an electric appliance (the bulb in this case), while a short circuit is when positive and negative terminals are connected directly. But I think that A is the correct answer as in all the other circuits, the circuit is open.
