Jyoti was roasting a cake. It has been out of the oven for 20 minutes. The cake was roasting for 4 hours and 15 minutes. The oven was preheated for 10 minutes. If it is 5:00 now, then what time did Jyoti put the cake in the oven?

A12:25 p.m.
B12:35 p.m.
C12:50 p.m.
D2:30 p.m.

HOW IT WILL BE 12:25 PM

As the other options are p.m., 5:00 is also p.m. As the cake was left out for 20 min, 5:00 - 0:20 = 4:40 p.m. The cake was roasting for 4 hours 15 mins, 4:40 - 4:15 = 0:25. 0:25 p.m. is 12:25 p.m.

so, what"s the correct answer?

But the question says when jyoti put it in the oven so why did you deduct 20 minutes? it was just out of the oven, right?

but you have to add another 10 minutes as the oven was preheated for 10 minutes in which the cake was not in the oven.
