The airmail rates of two countries are shown below.
Devika sent a parcel weighing 32 kg to India and a parcel weighing 28 kg to Australia by airmail. How much did she pay altogether?

Here the parcel sent= 32kg=20+12
For the first 20kg they charge for India is 42.40
The rest 12 kg can be split as 10kg+ 2kg
For every additional 10kg and part thereof charged amount is 10.50
So,the total amount charged by India is 42.40+10.50+10.50=63.40
In the same manner the parcel for Australia is about 28 kg
For the first 20kg they charged 35.12
The rest 8 kg is charged 9.80 Rs
Because it is told that for additional 10kg and part thereof they have charged 9.80 Rupees
So total 28kg= 20 kg + 8kg
The charged amount is 35.12+9.80=44.92
Total amount devika paid altogether is 63.90 + 44.92 = 108.32
