The median, as the name suggests, is the middle number of a set of numbers.
For example, in 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, 25 is the median.
In case of an even number of numbers in your set, take the average(mean) of the two numbers.
For example, in 23, 24, 25, and 26,
You would be taking the average of 24 and 25.
Average= (24+25)/2
Ans= 49/2
Ans= 24.5
Therefore, 24.5 is your median in this case.
The mode, is the value in a set of numbers that occurs most frequently.
For example, in the numbers 37,35,24,46,68,37, and 93,
37 is the mode as it occurs twice and the other numbers are only occurring once.
Remember, if there are two numbers that are repeated for the same number of times, and they are the greatest in value, then you could be having two modes.
For example, in the numbers 37,35,24,46,68,37, and 35,
37 and 35 are the modes.
