Subject :NSO    Class : Class 6

Two identical metal bars P and Q are positioned as shown in the two diagrams. If there is a strong attraction in figure (i) and weak attraction in figure (ii), what are the possible materials for P and Q?

can someone explain why the option C is not correct

No but in cases, poles can be on the 2 edges lengthwise. But... they should be inter changed, that is, P should Steel bar and Q should be Bar magnet, isn't it?

The strength of a magnet is always stronger at its poles and not at the middle, so if we suppose Q as a bar magnet it will be wrong as it is written that in diagram 1 the strength of attraction is more but Qis attracting P from middle, so it is wrong

Ans 6:

Class : Class 9
The answer for the above question is C How is it possible?? Why is the answer not D??

And also they gave a wrong option as the correct one, as per the solution which is considerable to this scenario... So it should be option B. Got it??
