Oscillations are set in a simple pendulum whose length is 2 m and mass of the bob is 2 kg. Its time period

A Is always constant
B Increases slowly
C Decreases slowly
D First increases then decreases.

why?

As it is not mentioned whether any specific environment was prepared, assuming it was set in normal environment, the bob's oscillation speed will decrease and time period will thus increase due to air resistance. So shouldn't it be option B?

They have not mentioned whether the pendulum is in perpetual motion(Infinitely oscillates without stopping). Therefore, shouldn't the pendulum eventually stop swinging after a while due to resistance? As the amplitude decreases, the period decreases as it travels less. Therefore, I think the answer should be C.
