When a horse pulls a cart, the force that helps the horse to move forward is the force exerted by ________.

(A) The cart on the horse

(B) The ground on the horse

(C) The ground on the cart

(D) The horse on the ground
can the options a , b, c be true . as for me I don't think the ground can be on top of an horse right (b) please could you tell the right answer

As ground apply frictional force on the horse. As it is not easy to run on rough area as compared to smooth area because smooth area apply less frictional force.
