Subject :NSO    Class : Class 6

Two blocks I and II having equal mass are suspended through a pulley, as shown in the given figure.

As the knife cuts the thread

Ablock I will rise
Bblock II will fall
Cboth blocks will fall
Dboth blocks will rise.


how is that possible

Ans 1:

Class : Class 8
Falling of both the blocks is correct

Ans 2:

Class : Class 8
Both the blocks will fall.

Ans 3:

Class : Class 6
Both the blocks will fall because Block II will obviously fall and due to unbalance of the pulley block Block I will also fall.
