The adjoining figure (not drawn to scale) is made up of a square WXYZ and a rectangle ABCD. The area of the square is 64 cm2. The length of the rectangle is 12 cm and its breadth is 9 cm. What is the total area of the unshaded part?

yes , the correct ans is option B. We should not subtract the shaded area two times.
