Shilpa is four times as old as Raj. Riya is 6 years younger than Raj. If their total ages is 72, how much older is Shilpa than Riya?

The step written by you 4R + R + R - 6 = 72 6R = 66 This step is wrong. As 6 will be added to 72 and NOT SUBTRACTED. hence, 6R = 78
