Ashwini magnetised a piece of iron rod using the stroking method as shown in the diagram below.

Which part of the iron rod becomes the North-seeking pole?
A P
B Q
C R
D S

no,the solution and ans are wrong because the poles are end point of the magnet ,so the north pole should be P

see the solution the magnet gets in contact with q so it is the correct ans

I agree with jigishal

Ans 3:

The magnet first makes contact with Q, so, it is the North Pole of the magnet

Q or R?????? PLEASE EXPLAIN MASTER ANSWER!

Ans 5:

A

Ans 6:

A

Ans 7:

The poles are end point of the magnet ,so the north pole should be P.

Ans 8:

B IS A WRONG ANSWER.

Will P be the North Pole or Q? So confusing!!🤔🤔

If you clearly notice, the arrow is first coming in contact with Part Q, and the arrow is above in Part P. First, the magnet comes in contact with part Q, so when the iron rod is magnetised, Part Q will be North pole.

Ans 11:

AS NORTH POLE INTRODUCED AT Q PART OF THE IRON ROD SO Q WILL BE NORTH POLE.

Ans 12:

As north seeking pole is geographic south pole so R is north seeking pole. so , basically the south pole is the north seeking pole and as the north pole is facing downwards and starting with Q so south pole will be R . Hence, R is the north seeking pole and option C is the correct option.

Ans 13:

Class : Class 8
it has started magnetising from Q SO THATS WHY IT IS TELLING THAT Q WILL BE THE NORTH SEEKING POLE.

Ans 14:

Class : Class 9
It should be a

Ans 15:

Class : Class 7
In the above process of magnetisation, the magnet makes its first contact with the iron rod on place R, so R would be the North pole of the magnetised iron bar.

Ans 16:

I didnt understand how it is R, can someone explain? Because according to me, the first point of contact is Q, but maybe that's not how it works....

Ans 17:

Class : Class 6
IT WILL BE P!

Ans 18:

Class : Class 8
The answer is B

Ans 19:

Class : Class 9
At first, I also thought that it will be A but if you see the figure closely, you can see that the magnet first comes in contact with point Q, it is rubbed till R and is then lifted at R point. So, Point Q would be the north pole and the point R would be the south pole

Ans 20:

Class : Class 7
Sorry R would be the south pole because of the reason:Q becomes the North pole, and R, where the magnet is lifted becomes the south pole.

Ans 21:

Class : Class 7
The correct answer is (B) because Q is the first point of contact.

Ans 22:

Class : Class 7
it will be P!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ans 23:

Class : Class 6
A IS TH CORRECT ANSWER. In the figure they started stoking the iron piece from point P which is the starting of the iron rod. so the correct answer is A.....

Ans 24:

Class : Class 6
N POLE ALWAYS GIVE THAT'S WHY A

Ans 25:

Class : Class 9
Yes it should be A ......because it is not possible that some of the iron bar is magnet and some is iron ....in the given figure starting of the stroke is point is Q but before that is point P which is starting of the rod so the CORRECT answer is A ..

Ans 26:

Class : Class 7
The answer is P as you can clearly see the iron rod should allow the magnetism to flow like what happens when you chain a nail, even though you are affecting only the top part the whole screw is affected hence proving the answer is wrong

Ans 27:

Class : Class 6
The correct answer is (B),Q because the magnetic contact starts on Q and not on P.
