Logical Reasoning can be broadly categorised into two parts Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Verbal Reasoning mainly consists of reasoning problems where the situation is given in the form of words, numbers, puzzles, sentences, etc. Non-Verbal Reasoning mainly consists of problems and reasoning based on visual reasoning using pictures, patterns, diagrams etc.

The Logical Reasoning questions are further divided as per the targeted skill like "Analogy and Classification", "Geometrical Shapes", "Mirror and Water Images", "Direction Sense", "Coding and Decoding" etc.

Logical reasoning has been an integral part of many competitive exams like NTSE, GATE, SSC and Olympiads such as NSO, IMO and ICSO. Logical reasoning holds 14% to 30% weightage in Olympiads . Their weightage in ICSO, NSO, and IMO is as given below:
